From 21st till 26th February, exhibition halls of Youth Educational Center of The State Hermitage Museum will turn into an open workshop, where visitors can witness and participate creative process.

By painting walls, household objects and furniture, artist Marina Koldobskaya talks to the human’s basic instincts, among which one of the most powerful is passion for image.
Author’s words:
People invent new implements, create new rules, sing new spells. But there are some things which are not changing.
Instincts, on which our life depends – to catch, to possess, to eat.
And fears – I will be caught, taken into possession, eaten.
Desires that torment – to beg or force. Let give, accept, release.
Events that make life bearable – heard, found, turned out.
Events that make life happier – made myself. Gave, accepted, taught, released.
We are still hunters and gatherers.
Project curated by Sophia Kudryavtseva.
Project released with the support of “St.Petersburg Arts Project” and “CYLAND” media laboratory. Children in ward of the Charitable foundation “Warm House” are taking part in the project.
